Born in South Korea, Tae Kim has studied piano since the age of four. Continuing his studies after he moved to United States, he acquired a Bachelor’s Degree at the Boston Conservatory where he studied with Janice Weber and Jonathan Bass. He has soloed with many ensembles including, Yurodivy Chamber Orchestra, Hemenway Strings, and Boston Conservatory Orchestra. Not only interested in solo repertoire, Tae actively participates in chamber and contemporary ensembles where he has worked with many distinguished artists such as Lynn Chang, Stephen Framil, Hsin-Yuan Huang, Thomas Kraines, and Alice Schoenfeld. Recently upon completing his Masters program at the New England Conservatory with Patricia Zander, he will be furthering his studies under the tutelage of Bruce Brubaker. |
