Roxana Bajdechi started piano lessons at the age of five, in Constanza, Romania. Over the next few years, her skills improved remarkably and at the age of ten, Roxana won the first prize at the Mozart Piano Competition for young pianists in Romania. The years to come brought her fifteen more awards and prizes from national and international piano competitions. These include the Award of the Romanian Music Critics Association along with the First Prize at the Mihail Jora Piano Competition in Bucharest, Romania, the Valentino Bucchi prize - Rome, Italy, First Prize at the International Piano Competition - Genova, Italy, and Second prize at the Luis A. Ferré Piano Competition - San Juan, Puerto Rico. Ms. Bajdechi has performed in Europe, Asia, and the United States. Her orchestral engagements have included the Mozart Virtuosi Symphony Orchestra (Tokyo, Japan), the Puerto Rico Chamber Orchestra (San Juan, Puerto Rico), the Black Sea Philharmonic (Constanza, Romania), the Lyceum Strings (Bucharest, Romania), and the Boston Conservatory Orchestra (Boston, MA). In Romania, Ms. Bajdechi studied privately with Delia Pavlovici. In 2000, she graduated from the George Enesco School of Music, Bucharest, where she studied with Olga Szel. In the fall of 2000, she entered The Boston Conservatory as a student of Michael Lewin. She graduated Magna cum laude in 2004 (Bachelor’s of Music) and obtained a Master’s Degree in Piano Performance in May 2006.
