Franco Leon - Piano

BM, Magna Cum Laude, piano performance, The Boston Conservatory; MM, piano performance, The Boston Conservatory. Piano with Jonathan Bass and Max Levinson; Chamber music with Janice Weber, Lynn Chang and Jung-Ja Kim. Recipient of the H. Wilfred Churchill and Ricardo and Hans Lewitus scholarships. Master classes with James Tocco, Michael Sheppard, Ian Hobson, Jose Ramos Santana, Ian Hobson, Peter Orth and Alberto Portugheis. Winner, Chamber Honors Competition at Boston Conservatory and Bela Bartok Latin American Piano competition at age 8. Performances in Europe, North, and South America at such venues as Canterbury’s Kings School, Churton Hall in North Wales and Catholic University’s Pando Auditorium in Peru. Live broadcasts in Lima’s ‘Filarmonia’ radio 102.7. Founder and Artistic director of “Escucha!” music festival. Faculty, Brookline Music School.
