Dana Mälzner, soprano, received a Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Arts Administration at the University of Kentucky in August 2003. She received her Master of Music degree in Vocal Performance from the Longy School of Music in 2006. Since 2005, she holds the Soprano Soloist position at Quincy Congregational Church in Quincy, MA and maintains a private vocal studio. Dana has appeared with several ensembles throughout the New England area performing opera and sacred works. Operatic roles that Dana performed included Zerlina (Don Giovanni), Echo (Ariadne auf Naxos), Papagena (Magic Flute), Una Suora Cercatrice (Suor Angelica), Cinderella, First Woodsprite (Rusalka) and Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare).
Furthermore, Dana performed the roles of the little Match Girl and a dying boy in the world premiere of the children’s opera “The Happy Prince” composed by New England Composer Melissa Carubia, after the short story by Oscar Wilde
